Top Album 2010 : # 26 - 30

Avant que les débats/engueulades/insultes et autres fusent, petit rappel des règles qui régissent mon top : il s'agit des 30 albums sortis en 2010 que j'ai pris le plus de plaisir à écouter, d'un point de vue strictement personnellement égocentrico narcissique. Autrement dit, je cherche à convaincre personne que mes albums sont mieux que les tiens, ça me dérange pas du tout que vous ayez des goûts de chiotte... Allez hop, c'est parti !

# 30. SAHG : "III"

Tout en gardant une sévère dose de heavy couillu, Sahg produit un album classieux, qui n'est ni doom épique, ni classic rock, ni stoner, mais un peu tout ça à la fois.

# 29. DIRTY SWEET : "American Spiritual"

Dans la catégorie compliquée du revival band, il y a deux sortes de groupes : ceux qui font ça par amour du genre, et qui essayent d'en respecter les codes tout en proposant quelque chose de neuf. Et il y a ceux qui ne voient qu'une mode dans laquelle s'engouffrer (The Sword), ou pire, qu'une excuse pour ne pas avoir à écrire leurs boquets eux-mêmes (Gama Bomb et 98% des groupes de rethrash). Fort heureusement, Dirty Sweet transpire l'amour inconsidéré du classic southern hard rock par tous les pores de cet album fabuleux !

# 28. HAARP : "The Filth"

Haarp rejoint le club fermé de la scène sludge made in NOLA, et rejoint donc Crowbar, Down, Eyehategod, et consorts. Et quelle putain d'entrée fracassante de sa mère ! Loin de n'être que des pistonnés (l'album étant produit par Anselmo pour son label, Housecore Records), le groupe mérite pleinement sa place, en se permettant d'être plus heavy que les maîtres incontestés du genre, Crowbar. Croyez-moi, on n'a pas affaire ici à un groupe de sludge parmi tant d'autres, mais à un vrai monstre tentaculaire qui te chope dès que tu commences l'écoute et qui t'abandonne, baignant dans le sang qui coule de tes oreilles, une heure plus tard. 

# 27. HORN OF THE RHINO : "Weight Of Coronation"

Fraîchement débarqués dans le top, ils auraient sans doute pu gagner une place plus haut si j'avais eu plus de temps pour décortiquer leur doom/sludge doté d'un chant incroyable. En tout cas, plus je l'écoute, plus je l'aime, et si vous êtes fans de Neurosis/Crowbar/Mastodon pour la musique et Keith Caputo/Dax Riggs/Chris Cornell pour le chant, vous devriez aussi vous intéresser à ces espagnols.

# 26. STEALING AXION : "EP"

Mon coup de cœur djent de l'année ! Je ne suis pas très souvent fan du genre, mais pour avoir une chance de me plaire, LA condition, c'est un chant à la hauteur. Et à ce niveau, Stealing Axion assure à mort, le reste vient donc beaucoup plus naturellement. Vivement l'album !

A good zombie is a dead zombie...

Ça faisait longtemps que je vous avais pas parlé de zombies pas vrai ? (comment ça non ?)
En tout cas, le microcosme zombiolesque dont je suis un membre ardent est tout retourné par The Walking Dead, une série dont la première saison de 6 épisodes vient de se terminer, qui se paye le luxe d'innover en la matière, ce qui n'arrive pour ainsi dire jamais ! Il faut dire que la série est inspirée d'une BD cultissime, et que la série est produite par Frank Darabont, jusqu'ici connu pour ses adaptations de romans de Stephen King, les plus connues étant La Ligne Verte et Shawshank Redemption.
Bref, il faut que vous regardiez The Walking Dead, et si cette vidéo qui rassemble en une minute toutes les mises à mort de zombies de la série ne vous convainc pas, retournez voir Plus Belle La Vie...

Gorgoroth : "Here Comes Santa"

Je sais que j'aime bien déblatérer sur le Black Metal, et Gorgoroth fait partie des groupes que j'ai eu le malheur de voir en concert, et ont donc largement contribué à mon aversion du genre. Sauf que là, pour le coup, ils démontrent qu'au fond, eux non plus ne sont pas insensibles à la magie de Noël, et adoucissent donc un peu le ton pour l'occasion.
