Ca y est, on attaque déjà le dernier trimestre de l'année, une année qui s'avère déjà être un excellent cru, et un dernier trimestre qui va avoir du mal à s'imposer, vu que les derniers Anthrax, Mastodon, Machine Head et Chimaira squattent mes oreilles depuis leur sortie et que j'ai du mal à écouter autre chose pour le moment !

Nightrage : "Insidious"

Formé à la base par (entre autres), Gus G. (de Firewind et remplaçant de Zakk Wylde chez Ozzy) et Tomas Lindberg, chanteur d'At The Gates et Lock Up (et non car en fait c'est moi HAHAHA !), Nightrage pratiquait un style hyper proche de celui d'At The Gates, à savoir un death mélodique à la suédoise old school classieux et ultra agréable. Depuis, le line-up a bien évolué, et Gus et moi Tomas se contentent de jouer les guests de luxe sur un boquet ou l'autre. J'aimais bien leur album précédent, Wearing a Martyr's Crown, même si je trouvais le chant un peu monotone sur la longueur. Mes paroles ont été entendues, car le chant a vraiment été remodelé sur cette nouvelle plaque, qui est maintenant plus modulé, qui ose les parties claires, éloignant quelque peu le groupe de ses roots At The Gatesiennes pour lorgner sur le terrain d'In Flames (le côté folk casse couilles en moins), voire du metalcore américain (le côté formaté "c'est todi la même chose" en moins). Bref, le meilleur des deux genres en un, pour un album qui s'écoute avec plaisir, même s'il ne réinvente pas la roue. Notons aussi que leur batteur est bien de chez nous, puisque depuis 2007, ils l'ont débauché de chez Suicide Of Demons, un groupe de death carolo !
